Mata Ortiz Pottery Demonstration and Sale

Mata Ortiz artists Lucy Mora and Lorenso Bugarini be demonstrating world famous Mata Ortiz pottery technique which rivals the best of Pueblo pottery produced anywhere. Pots are meticulously painted using a brush made of human hairs prior to firing. Followed at 5:00 pm by a "firing party" (off-site, weather permitting.)

As a follow-up to the Mata Ortiz pottery show at Beale Street Brews that afternoon, i will host Bruce Carter & guests in a traditional Mata Ortiz-style firing of the pottery in the firepit at The So-Hi Peacesign Themepark. Event open to public. After thing to follow. Bring refreshments and musical instruments to share.
